Lord Mangal is also known as Planet Mangal or Planet Mars. Its also known as Kuja and Angaraka. As per Astronomy, Mars ( Mangal) is the fourth planet in our solar system. The Mars represents courage, power, house, landed property and enemies among other things. If Mars ( Mangal) is placed in the lagna(Ascendant), 4th, 7th, 8th or 12th house in a horoscope it is considered to be a horoscope containing Manglik Dosha. The Mars is a malefic planet. Nature of Mars is fiery.

Recite the Mangala stotra: Dharani garbha sambhutam vidyut kanti samaprabham Kumaram shakti hastam tam mangalam pranamamyaham.

Charity: Donate Masoor dal( red lentils) on Tuesday.

Fasting: On Tuesdays.

Pooja: Kartikeya pooja or Rudrabhishekha.

Rudraksha: Wear a 3 mukhi Rudraksha.
