Actually, the term 'Mumbai' for the city has been derived from 'Mumba Devi'. Mumba Devi is regarded as 'Shakti' and people worship her with full devotion. Initially, the temple was erected at Bori Bunder, which presently makes the site of Victoria Terminus.
