Banke Bihari Mandir is a Hindu temple devoted to Lord Krishna, in the divine city of Vrindavan in the Mathura district. Bankey Bihari was initially worshiped at Nidhivana. Bankey signifies “bent in three spots” and bihari signifies “supreme enjoyer.” The picture of Lord Krishna stands in the Tribhanga posture. Haridas Swami initially worshipped this devotional picture under the name of Kunj-bihari.
By Road : Vrindavan is located on Delhi-Agra NH-2. the various buses runs connecting the Agra and Delhi. Temple is 7 km. away from National Highway. Getting to Temple is very trouble-free as there are regular tempos and rickshaw available throughout the day. Mathura is just 12 km away. Frequent buses, tempos and taxies runs between Mathura and Vrindavan.
